WORTH KNOWING
Take good care of your jewellery! Gold and silver are both malleable metals that require careful treatment. Always remember to take off your jewellery before you take a shower, do the dishes, go to bed, play sports or are in similar situations where your jewellery may risk damage. Keep your jewellery in a suitable place such as a jewellery case. With time, your jewellery may suffer from wear and tear in vulnerable areas. We recommend that you submit your jewellery to a professional for examination about once a year. Gold The carat indicates the amount of gold in the material the ring is made of. One carat indicates that the gold weight is 1/24 of the weight of the alloy. Thus, in 18 carat jewellery, the amount of pure gold is 18/24 (75 %). Diamonds Diamonds may be hard but they are not indestructible. They can damage or scratch other jewellery, so we advise you to keep your diamond jewellery separately. We recommend that you clean your diamonds regularly so they retain their full lustre. The quality of a diamond depends upon the colour, the number of impurities and how it is cut. Carat (ct) is a unit of weight for gems e.g. diamonds. The weight of one carat is 200 mg. Silver Our silver jewellery is composed of 92.5% silver, the rest being copper and other metals. Silver jewellery is subject to oxidation, so the best way to avoid this is simply to polish your silver regularly. You will get the best results if you use a specially made silver polish.
Marriage
A church wedding is a fantastic event for a loving couple. How can a wedding go to:
The bride's relatives and friends are always to the left of the aisle while the groom sits on the right. At the front is the next of kin. Parents should enter the last before it is time for the bride and groom. If it is the bride's father to send the bride, for he bride at his right hand through the aisle while the groom already find themselves at the altar. Unless the bride is given away by a family member goes the bride and groom in together after a priest and smånäbbar, the bride and groom on the left to the right, to the strains of the wedding march.
If you have a best man, he is already at the altar to the rings. Now the pastor preach about why people get married and what is expected of each one. So the big question - "do you take this ............ "And of course, the answer to this question -" YES! "
This is followed by the blessing and the promise to love each other and be faithful to each other until death do them part. So it's time to the pastor's request to give the bride her ring, or exchange rings if you have one each. Then the priest proclaims that the couple is now married to each other. After vigseltal and hymn, it is time to move out of the church in the reverse order in force for entry.
Morning gift The morning gift, the gift that the groom gives the bride the morning after the wedding night, was a kind of reward to the woman's innocence preserved until the wedding night and would hold a certain amount that would help her to a financially independent if the man died. So far as the 1920s it was legal to wedding gift would be the bride. Today it is more a romantic gesture from the groom and the content is probably more often a beautiful piece or call other than land and farms.
Engagement Engagement is a promise between two people about to marry each other. The engagement has no legal significance, but is rather an over-coming of romanticism between two people who love each other. The engagement is intended as a trial period where you should be able to feel whether this is correct, although it is a time of preparation before the wedding. Usually, it is not more than one to two years between betrothal and marriage. Many young couple gets engaged now but that they really intend to marry. One might think that the engagement may have lost its meaning.
The betrothal Is an older form of engagement where you agreed to marry. As late as the 50th century it had a legal significance. Did one of the parties betrothal was the second claim damages. If the husband died before the marriage, the woman could inherit 50% of the husband's estate.

Schalins rings are normally set with Wesselton VS (WVS) for diamonds 0.04 ct. and larger and with Wesselton SI (WSI) for smaller diamonds. Other grades can be offered.
Quality of diamonds is based on four factors: weight, color, clarity and cut, in English the four C one: Carat, Clarity, Colour and Cut.
Weight
Caratvikten is something that most people know. 1 Carat corresponds to 0.2 grams. The word Carat comes from the Arab word for carob tree seeds (kharrub) that the Arabs made use of as weights on their balance scales. They held a weight of 0.195 grams. Diamonds of the same weight can vary depending on how they are cut, they can be low and wide or tall and narrow.
Large diamonds are rarer than small ones, which will affect the price. Small stones with a total weight of 1 carat costs therefore considerably less than if you choose a stone that weighs 1.00 carat total. The weight given in Carat (ct.). Not to be confused with karat (K) to denote the level of fine gold in the metal.
Colors
Most diamonds have a slight tint of yellow, brown or blue. Diamonds with a distinct color is one of the rarest gemstones in the world. Very rare is the completely colorless diamonds. In most cases, you use white diamonds, which are divided by color.
Only 20% of the world's diamonds are of such high quality that they can be used for jewelry. The rest is used in industry. To determine the color of a diamond must have a way to compare with known Master Stones. In order to assess the color of the stone can not be encased. Gold color from a rödguldsring can easily confuse the eye in a color assessment of an encased stone.
Schalins rings quality standards are:
Wesselton (W) white, diamond Top Wesselton (TW) Rare White, Princess cut diamonds
Clarity
With clarity mean number or size of the contained minerals or cracks which are generally found inside diamonds. Often, the inclusions of other minerals such as olivine and garnet. Diamond clarity determined with 10 times magnification.
Obvious inclusions means that an experienced observer can see the inclusions in an unmounted stone with magnifying glass with 10 times magnification. For an untrained observer, it is very difficult to see any difference in the purity of stones less than 0.20 ct.
Schalins rings quality standards are:
VS (hard to detect any inclusions) for diamonds 0.04 ct. and greater SI (relatively easy to detect inclusions) for diamonds 0.03 ct. and minor
Grinding
To grind a diamond is a highly advanced crafts. Through the Industrial Revolution in the 1800s refined grinding methods and diamonds took up the fight with the cultured pearl as the most popular adornment in jewelry. A rough diamond looks basically like any stone. The most common cut is round brilliant cut, with the cut sides 57, but may also be oval, heart-shaped or teardrop-shaped. Brilliant cut means that the stone has 57 facets, 33 on the upper side and 24 on the underside. In Scandinavia, brilliant cut diamonds are most common.
